Your wAI, right awAI

Shocker - users and enterprises may not want to be told what AI features to use.

On my morning AI read, I came across an article from Jowi Morales, discussing Microsoft and Qualcomm’s initiative to launch PCs with AI+ embedded features. Ironically, the feature that is driving the sales - longer battery life; not the AI capabilities that were embedded on the computers by the manufacturers, and that most users don’t want.

AI like a "whopper"
Have AI your way!

AI is “level the playing field” technology; no doubt about it. Product managers should know you just can’t jam an “AI inside” label or any AI application in a computer and expect the vast majority of users to say “yup, EXACTLY what I needed.”

When you consider the number of AI applications in the market, and the number of users and their varied needs, the number of permutations and combinations gets silly, very quickly. Trying to offer a “curated” set of AI applications to any user or enterprise is a crap shoot.

IMHO, the best approach to solve the solution - consult with the client and integrate the specific features and functions of the specific AI technologies that they need and afford. When you take this approach, you can truly have “AI your way”.

Want to build video, PDF, images and audio content from a single prompt and a few clicks of the mouse - You bet.

Want to build a training course for your new employees from a manual that you developed 3 years ago, but want to updated it to the local laws and regulations of 2024, 2025… Sure, we can do that.

Want to take the data from your ERP, analyze it and evaluate it using your proprietary algorithm, and then feed that data to your CRM, creating the marketing campaigns and the caller scripts on the fly, tailored to each customer and account - yup, that too.

The beauty of the current AI ecosystem is that it is blooming like sargasso in the Atlantic…ok, maybe more like tulips in April. Every day a new application with new and more nuanced capabilities joins the system. Most of them are being designed for integration with API calls that makes it simple for a well-trained and experienced systems integrator to give you:

  • The capabilities that you need

  • When you need them

  • Delivering the results to the exact application where it needed

  • In the perfect format that you want it.

You just can’t guess this at the point or time of sale… you must consult with the buyer, and that is why consultative selling and technology integration services are crucial in the “AI era” - (@swift)The great news - newer computers are clearly being designed with the compute and networking capabilities required to deliver AI like your team needs it -

Your wAI, right awAI.

All you have to do is talk to your systems integrator, and “let them cook.” Lastly - “heavy mayo, heavy pickles, add bacon”! IYKYK.
